Order Support
Installation Responsibility
STW Autosports is not responsible for damage caused during installation. Professional installation is strongly recommended. Installation-related damage is not covered under warranty.
What is the proper torque for wheel installation?
Torque specifications vary by vehicle. Always follow your owner’s manual or manufacturer guidelines. Final tightening should be done with a torque wrench. Avoid impact tools for final torque.
What does it mean when an item is on backorder?
A backorder means the manufacturer is temporarily out of stock. Typical timelines are 4–6 weeks, though delays may vary.
Why did I receive only part of my order?
Some orders ship in multiple packages to speed up delivery. Tracking will reflect each shipment.
My order arrived with shipping damage. What should I do?
Inspect shipments before signing. Note damage on delivery paperwork, take photos immediately, and contact Order Support with your invoice number and photos.
What should I do if I experience vibrations?
Some vibration is normal with aggressive or oversized tires. If vibration is excessive, contact Order Support with your invoice number and details.
Balance Beads Notice:
Balance beads are not guaranteed. While industry best practices are followed during installation, some wheel and tire assemblies may not balance perfectly using this method. If you experience any issues, please contact us so we can assist.
What should I do if I have a warranty concern?
All wheels and tires include the manufacturer’s warranty (terms vary by brand). Visit our Warranty Center or contact us for help starting a claim.
Cancellations & Returns
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Standard Orders: All wheels and tires include the manufacturer’s warranty (terms vary by brand). Visit our Warranty Center or contact us for help starting a claim.

Wheels & Tires
Expert Review
Every order is reviewed by an STW Autosports specialist to help ensure proper fitment and compatibility before shipment.
Fitment Verification Notice
All orders are subject to fitment verification. Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle information, including year, make, model, trim, wheel size, tire size, and any suspension modifications. STW Autosports is not responsible for fitment issues caused by incorrect, incomplete, or undisclosed information.
Can I buy just one wheel or one tire?
Yes. Contact STW Autosports with the product details and your vehicle’s year, make, and model so we can confirm availability and fitment.
What if I don’t see the brand I’m looking for?
We work with a wide network of wheel and tire brands. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact us and we’ll do our best to source it.
How do I measure my bolt pattern?
A bolt pattern is written like 6×5.5: the first number is the number of lugs, and the second number is the diameter of the circle formed by the lugs (PCD).
How to measure:
- 5-lug—center of one stud to the outside edge of the farthest stud.
- 4/6/8-lug—center of one stud to center of the opposite stud.
Metric vs. standard bolt patterns
Some bolt patterns are listed differently but represent the same fitment. Examples: 5×4.5 = 5×114.3 • 5×5 = 5×127 • 5×5.5 = 5×139.7.
What are dual-drilled wheels?
Dual-drilled wheels feature two bolt patterns in one wheel, allowing fitment across multiple vehicle applications while meeting manufacturer safety standards.
What is a staggered fitment?
Staggered fitment means the rear wheels and tires are wider than the front. This setup is generally intended for rear-wheel-drive vehicles.
Staggered Fitment Notice
Some staggered setups require wider or specialty rear tires, which may result in additional cost. Any pricing adjustments will be confirmed before order processing.
Tire Size Variance
Tire dimensions may vary slightly by brand and model, even when listed as the same size. This is normal within industry manufacturing tolerances.
Inventory Availability
Inventory status is subject to change and is not guaranteed until the order is confirmed and processed.
Product Image Disclaimer
Product images are for reference only. Wheel finishes, lip size, concavity, and overall appearance may vary based on wheel size, width, offset, and lighting conditions.
What’s the difference between one-piece, two-piece, and three-piece wheels?
- One-piece wheels: Manufactured as a single unit (cast or forged). Durable, cost-effective, and the most common option.
- Two-piece wheels: Built from two components (wheel face + barrel). Allows deeper lips and more customization.
- Three-piece wheels: Built from three components (wheel face + inner lip + outer lip). Offers the highest level of customization.
What’s the difference between directional and non-directional wheels?
Directional wheels are mirrored left and right so the design flows in one direction on all four wheels. Non-directional wheels use the same face design on all four wheels and may visually rotate opposite side-to-side.
What is wheel offset?
Wheel offset is the distance between the wheel’s centerline and the mounting surface. Lower offsets generally push the wheel outward compared to stock.
How do I identify wheel offset?
Offset is measured in millimeters (mm) and is usually stamped on the back of the wheel, commonly marked ET followed by a number.
Wheel Accessories
What is TPMS?
TPMS stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. It is a small electronic sensor mounted inside each wheel, within the tire. TPMS continuously monitors tire pressure and alerts you with a dashboard warning light if a tire becomes over-inflated or under-inflated.
How do I sync my TPMS sensors?
In most cases, TPMS sensors will automatically sync with your vehicle after approximately 50 miles of driving. However, some vehicles may require a manual relearn procedure.
For manual syncing, we recommend visiting a reputable wheel and tire shop equipped with the proper TPMS relearn tools. Dealerships often do not support aftermarket TPMS sensors.
If you believe you need replacement TPMS sensors, please Contact Us under the Order Support topic for assistance.
Why did I receive open lug nuts with my order?
If you ordered closed lug nuts but received open lug nuts, your order was likely updated to ensure compatibility with your wheel’s center cap.
Some center caps that fully cover the lug area cannot be installed properly with closed lug nuts. In these cases, our warehouse ships open lug nuts to ensure proper fitment and safe installation.
Why did I receive chrome lug nuts instead of black?
If you ordered black lug nuts and received chrome, your order was likely updated due to availability or fitment compatibility. If you prefer black lug nuts or plan to run your wheels without center caps, please reach out to us so we can review available options.
What is the difference between lug nuts and lug bolts?
Lug nuts and lug bolts are not interchangeable, and choosing the correct type is critical.
Lug Nuts thread onto fixed wheel studs and are commonly used on Domestic and Japanese vehicles.
Lug Bolts are a single bolt that threads directly into the vehicle hub and are most commonly found on European vehicles.
Not sure which you need? No problem — our fitment specialists will automatically select the correct lug nuts or lug bolts based on the vehicle information you provide at checkout.
Will the center caps work with manual locking hubs?
Each wheel set includes standard center caps (with limited exceptions). Standard closed center caps typically do not fit over large 4WD manual locking hubs.
Depending on the wheel design, manufacturers may offer:
Larger center caps
Open center caps
Center cap extenders
These options may involve an additional cost. Please Contact Us, and we will work directly with the manufacturer to review your available options.
Are wheel spacers safe?
Yes — wheel spacers are safe when properly selected and installed. Safety depends on:
Correct spacer thickness
Proper installation
Proper torque specifications
Regular inspections
Improper installation or incorrect sizing can lead to issues, so professional installation is strongly recommended.
Do I need hub rings?
The hub bore is the center opening of the wheel that fits onto your vehicle’s hub. Because most aftermarket wheels are mass-produced, the hub bore is often larger to fit multiple vehicles.
If there is excess space between the wheel hub bore and the vehicle hub, hub rings may be required to properly center the wheel during installation.
Hub rings (also called hub-centric rings or centering rings) help prevent vibration issues. They are typically made of hard plastic and serve only to center the wheel during installation — once the lug nuts are torqued, the rings no longer carry load and may spin freely.
Even if wheels and tires are balanced, vibrations can occur if the wheel is not properly centered, which is why hub rings are sometimes recommended.
